Pound Ridge has a rugged beauty owing to its
unique topography. Primitive, time-worn stone walls wander through
the lushly wooded hills and grassy meadows. Intricate rock
outcroppings emanate from the ridges and gentle ravines which accent
the landscape. The zoning requires a minimum of three acres per
parcel, but many properties are much larger. While Pound Ridge is
known for its beautifully restored antique colonials, it also
contains many newer homes constructed by top architects and
builders. Hand hewn stone fireplaces, high ceilings and large
windows looking into private, secluded woods can be found in many of

The Pound Ridge reservation contains 4,700 acres of protected land
which is open for hiking, horseback riding and cross country skiing.

Pound Ridge, the village of Scott's Corners provides complete
shopping. With a New England character, Scott's Corners has evolved
over the years to include a variety of stores as well as specialty
shops and restaurants. Pound Ridge is served by the Bedford Public
