Armonk is well situated with the town of Bedford to the north and Greenwich (CT) to the south.  Through careful use of its one and two acre zoning, Armonk has been able to maintain a rural feeling and still offer an exceptional level of convenience.  The commute to New York City is only 38 minutes via Metro North train. Route 684 runs right by Armonk and Route 22 runs right through it.  There are a variety of quality shops and restaurants within the town and for more extensive shopping the city of White Plains is close by. Additionally, the Westchester airport can be reached in ten minutes.

Armonk has a rural feeling and there are ample locations for outings with over 1,700 acres of open land. The school system is the Byram Hills Central School District which consistently rates in the top echelon.

Although Armonk is primarily residential, its bucolic setting and ideal location attracted IBM to locate its prestigious world headquarters here in a campus like setting. The integration of IBM and several other corporate facilities has been carefully planned and has even helped to create lower taxes in Armonk.
