Professional Experience

I have been buying and selling real estate since 1973.  My knowledge of real estate includes negotiating contracts for commercial and residential use in NYC and I have converted rent controlled apartments into rent stabilized apartments.

My professional experience extends beyond real estate.  I did research and specialized testing in ophthalmology, I was music editor and associate producer for Mutual Broadcasting, editor and advertising director for Fairfield & Westchester Design Guide and I still do photography and design one of a kind knit art wear.

Having such a diverse background has afforded me a solid foundation for organizational skills, negotiation skills, people skills and above all, the ability to really listen to what someone is saying.  There is no limit to my energy, enthusiasm and focus.

I have been a resident of Pound Ridge for over 23 years.  I know the community and surrounding areas well.  Having raised two sons, I am well acquainted with both the private and public schools.

 Business Philosophy

Buying or selling your home is likely to be the most important decision you will make and can be life altering.  I want you to have a positive experience.

If you are looking to buy a home, my mission is to provide you with choices that meet your criteria.  My goal is not to sell you the house, but to lead you in the right direction.  The right house for you will sell itself!

If you are selling your home, you want to get your price and sell as fast as possible.  I will work with you in an efficient and timely manner.

Community Involvement

I am an active volunteer for the Puppies Behind Bars program.  I socialize puppies that are being trained for explosive detection and as companions for disabled war veterans.

To Whom It May Concern:

We had the pleasure of working with Penny Weiss as our realtor when we repatriated to the USA after twenty years in Asia.

We were thankful that Penny was patient with the many questions we asked, many homes we viewed and especially in keeping up with us as we all struggled with one of the worst winters in a long time here in Westchester County, NY.

Penny was focused on getting us the home that she knew we would love on our timeframe. She never wavered in her obligation to us as buyers was always extremely professional even while balancing the care of a loved one at home who was very sick.

Penny is a diligent, attentive, resposible realtor who we are happy to have met.

We love our new home!

Sincerely,
Penny & Tim

In 2010 Penny Weiss was the listing agent for my home. I "interviewed" several different agents for the listing and Penny was the best fit. She understood the market in Pound Ridge. Penny also spent many hours patiently showing me prospective homes. She understood what I wanted and needed in a home. Some of the words that I would use to describe Penny are: knowledgeable, professional, honest, tactful and caring.

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter about Penny Weiss is an easy letter to write. She is a pro among pros.

After six months of failure, by a Real Estate firm attempting to sell our Pound Ridge home, we decided to make a change. Penny came to our rescue! She was unbelievable! Although we knew she had other clients, it felt as though all her efforts were for us.

She never tired in showing our home and once she caught a really interested prospect, she never let go. She helped in every phase of the sale. From creating excitement about the property, doing the research to answer every question the prospective buyer had, and negotiating the sale price.

I cannot think of anything more she could of done to sell our home. I heartily recommend her to any seller or firm looking for the best.

Sincerely,
Herbert Solomon
